These projects include full selection of furniture, drapery, art and accessories for your space. This package won't include any structural changes, but will allow us to transform your space into one that reflects your personal style and the functionality necessary for your everyday life.
New Design & Renovations
Our renovation package is available to facilitate with both commercial and residential new construction or remodeling projects. We collaborate with developers, architects, builders, contractors and workrooms to flawlessly execute your vision. Our team confidently manages the day-to-day progress, taking the stress off of you so that you get to actually enjoy your renovation project.
Our distance design service is for clients outside of the Los Angeles area. With this package you'll get the same attention to detail as you would working with us in person, and for a lesser rate. We use questionnaires, calls, and virtual consults to provide the same level of service from a distance. We source and procure just as we do for in-person projects, then we travel to you for final installation to ensure everything exceeds your expectations.
carbon & bone is a full service interior design firm based in Los Angeles, CA and founded by Talia Laconi. We serve clients nationwide with services ranging from interior styling and furnishing to full residential and commercial renovations.
Collaboration is super important to our process at carbon & bone. We love to incorporate our client's requests and design vision with our own expertise to create beautiful and functional spaces. Our process helps bring the vision and design to reality with organized steps along the way that keep our projects moving along. Our design software system allows our clients to have constant access throughout their project to invoices, proposals, and other important documents. This keeps our clients in the loop every step of the way.
Book a Consultation
Even though every design project is different, a consultation is always the first step. This conversation will review your existing spaces, your inspiration, your goals for the project, a rough timeline for completion and your estimated budget. Based on the consultation we will present you with a personalized proposal that will outline the project scope and estimated design fees. Planning and Designing
Once in contract, we will schedule a time to visit the site to take measurements and photos of the space. This information will be used to develop the preliminary design through plans, elevations and initial design concepts. The design concepts will invoke the overall desired feeling of the space and will help to inform future decision making. Once the design plan gets your final approval, we move on to the implementation phase.
Construction Documents + Contract Bidding
In the construction documentation and bidding stage, if your project requires drawings for renovations they will be issued at this time to the appropriate industry professionals for construction. For projects involving custom millwork, built-ins or furniture pieces, this is the stage where the detailed drawings and fabric/finish selections get your final approval and are then sent off for bidding.
Project Management + Procurement
In this step, we will create and track all purchase orders necessary for your project. We will also work with industry professionals to ensure the project is being implemented as we envisioned.
This is our favorite part of the project - install day! In this final phase of the project we will coordinate installation of all purchased items including furniture, art + accessories. Once the items are installed, this is also the day where your project get professionally photographed for our portfolio.
